Simply put, if you currently accept credit cards as a method of payment and store the entire credit card number, then after March 31 2009, those credit card numbers will be converted to x's, and only the last four digits will remain. Any new credit card transactions entered after March 31, 2009 will not allow credit card numbers to be keyed directly into our software.
Instead, you will have the option of keying the credit card number directly into a PA-DSS/PCI-DSS compliant application that will be running in conjunction with our product. This will apply to all credit card pledges, payments, and donations.
No problem. Cascade Data Solutions has teamed up with X-Charge, a company that provides secure on-line credit card processing. Once you set up a merchant account with X-Charge, you will be able to archive the credit card number for installment charges over time and not worry about someone hacking into your system (or even stealing your computer) and pirating this sensitive information. X-Charge's credit card processing functionality can be fully integrated into our software, and will appear as a normal part of data entry.
You may continue to use your current credit card processing provider. Information like whether the charge was approved and the approval number can be stored in our software. However, our software is currently designed to integrate with X-Charge only.
X-Charge has very competitive rates when compared to other credit card processors. You will set up a merchant account directly though X-Charge and your transaction fee will be based on your type of business and volume of transactions. You could potentially SAVE money over your current credit card processor. To activate X-Charge within our software we charge a one time fee of $200.00. Purchasing the credit card integration will NOT add to your yearly support costs.
